Verizon Communications Inc. is an American telecommunications corporation, founded as a result of the merger of Bell Atlantic and GTE Corporation in 2000, headquartered in New York. Today, it is one of the leading global providers of communication, information, and entertainment products and services for individual consumers, businesses, and government agencies. The Wireline segment - a number of Verizon Communications subsidiaries provide communication products and services, including local and long-distance voice communication, internet access, and television through fiber-optic cables. The Wireless segment - the company provides wireless communication products and services through one of the most extensive wireless networks in the United States. This segment includes wireless voice communication services, fourth-generation (4G) and fifth-generation (5G) wireless networks, among others.
