General Notice

Wall Street Numbers is an independent financial data platform built by an experienced software engineer and personal investor, operating since 2022. For more about our background and mission, visit our About Us page.

All data presented on Wall Street Numbers is provided strictly for informational and educational purposes. Nothing on this website constitutes financial advice, investment recommendations, or an endorsement of any particular security or trading strategy. Users should always conduct their own research and consult with a qualified financial professional before making any investment decisions.

While we strive to deliver accurate, timely, and reliable data, all information on this website is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. Some data is aggregated from third-party providers and publicly available sources, which we do not independently verify in all cases. Wall Street Numbers makes no guarantees regarding the completeness, accuracy, or timeliness of any information displayed on the site and shall not be held liable for any losses or damages arising from the use of or reliance on the data provided. For full details on liability limitations and usage terms, please refer to our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Cookie Policy.

Market Coverage

Wall Street Numbers covers stocks and ETFs traded on major U.S. stock exchanges, including NYSE, NASDAQ, NYSE American, and CBOE. As of today, the platform tracks approximately 10,000 stocks and ETFs, along with 12 major indexes. These numbers fluctuate as new securities are listed and others are delisted or become inactive.

Every stock and ETF on the platform undergoes manual review before being added to the screener. New securities are added on a weekly basis. A security is removed from the screener if its price data has not been updated for three consecutive weeks; however, its profile page remains accessible on the site until the ticker is reassigned to a new listing.

If you are unable to find a particular security that trades on one of these exchanges, please let us know through our contact form or by emailing us at [email protected].

Stock Prices

Intraday and end-of-day stock prices displayed on the site are updated approximately every 10 minutes during regular and extended trading hours. Price data is sourced from trusted third-party providers and is intended to reflect current market conditions as closely as possible. However, brief delays or discrepancies may occasionally occur due to network latency or data processing. A timestamp indicating when each metric was last updated is displayed on the company's overview page or on the dedicated page for that metric.

Financial Statements and Fundamentals

Financial statement data, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, is extracted directly from filings submitted to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) via the EDGAR system. Wall Street Numbers uses a proprietary service to parse and structure this data. New filings are checked every few hours and added to the platform shortly after publication. While we take great care in this process, differences in how companies report their financials may occasionally result in formatting or categorization variations.

Technical Indicators and Financial Ratios

Technical indicators and financial ratios are calculated internally by Wall Street Numbers using a combination of end-of-day price data sourced from Marketstack and financial data derived from SEC filings. These values are recalculated within 20 minutes after the regular market close each trading day. Where possible, the specific formulas and methods used are documented on the dedicated pages for each indicator or ratio (for example, see the PE Ratio page for Apple). Slight differences compared to other platforms may occur due to variations in input data, calculation timing, or rounding.

Please note that while Marketstack data is used as an input for our calculations, it is not directly displayed on the website due to the provider's policy restrictions. All price data shown on the site and available for export is curated from publicly available market data feeds.

Data Accuracy and Quality

We have been collecting, processing, and validating financial data for over four years. Our data has been referenced in independent research publications and government resources. We cross-reference our data against multiple sources to ensure consistency and have implemented proprietary algorithms that verify data accuracy on an ongoing basis. These algorithms are continuously reviewed and improved. Our team also regularly reviews and validates the information displayed on the site. That said, with thousands of securities and data points updated on an ongoing basis, occasional inaccuracies may occur.

If you spot any errors, missing data, or anything that looks incorrect, we encourage you to reach out to us. Every report is reviewed and addressed promptly.
