The company was founded in 1974, with its headquarters located in Lake Oswego, Oregon. The manufacturing segment offers typical railroad cars such as covered hoppers and boxcars, center partition cars, and flat cars with bulkheads. The wheels, repair, and parts segment provides wheel maintenance services, including wheel and axle repairs, processing and finishing of new axles, and resizing. The leasing and services segment offers operational leasing and "per mile" leasing for a fleet of approximately 8,300 railroad cars, as well as management services including technical maintenance management, car accounting services, fleet management and logistics, administration, and car remarketing.
