Artisan Partners Asset Management Inc. is an American pension fund. Founded in 1994 by Andy and Carlin Ziegler, the group initially specialized in small cap companies, before moving on to larger companies, while placing their offices mainly in quasi-tax havens to pay minimal taxes. In 2021, Artisan Partners made a name for itself by taking control of just 3% of the French company Danone and, as a minority shareholder, displacing CEO Emmanuel Faber. Artisan Partners Asset Management Inc. was founded in 1994 and is based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, with additional offices in Atlanta, Georgia, San Francisco, California, Leawood, Kansas, and London, UK.
