GFF Latest News
The latest trading day saw Griffon (GFF) settling at $64.36, representing a +1.42% change from its previous close.
Griffon's topline continues to decline due to weak commercial demand, but residential demand and the Pope acquisition should drive growth in FY25. The company's margins are improving thanks to global sourcing initiatives and productivity improvements, despite lower volumes in some segments. GFF is trading at a discount compared to the sector median, making it a decent buy for long-term investors.
GFF's recent acquisition of Pope Products enhances its CPP portfolio in Australia, reinforcing its international growth strategy. Despite a poorer performance this quarter, Griffon continues to show a strong EBITDA margin in its HBP, while CPP's profitability has improved due to its ongoing Global Sourcing Expansion Strategy execution. Its Global Sourcing Strategy aims to improve margins in the CPP segment, with a target of achieving a 15% EBITDA margin within a year or two.
Griffon's (GFF) fiscal third-quarter results are likely to gain from strength in the HBP segment. However, high restructuring costs are likely to have dented its bottom line.
Griffon (GFF) might move higher on growing optimism about its earnings prospects, which is reflected by its upgrade to a Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy).
