3D Systems is a world leader in 3D printing and offers a complete portfolio of metal and plastic materials. It enjoys a solid positioning in the healthcare segment (dental, prosthesis, and regenerative medicine). As the sector makes losses and consolidates, the firm could reinforce its positioning.
ROCK HILL, S.C., Nov. 14, 2024 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Today, 3D Systems (NYSE:DDD) announced Sauber Motorsports, a Swiss motorsport engineering company, has selected 3D Systems' latest polymer 3D printing technologies to accelerate innovation. Sauber intends to add 10 3D Systems 3D printers — eight SLA 750 Dual and two PSLA 270 — to its manufacturing workflow. The combination of these industry-leading technologies along with 3D Systems' Accura ® Composite PIV, Accura Xtreme, and Figure 4® ceramic-filled materials will increase Sauber's production capacity for wind tunnel parts: enabling the team to maintain its position as a leading competitor.

3D Systems gains FDA clearance for its advanced jetted denture solution, enhancing durability and efficiency in dental labs for an improved patient experience.
ROCK HILL, S.C., Sept. 17, 2024 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Today, 3D Systems (NYSE:DDD) announced the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has provided 510(k) clearance for its multi-material, monolithic (one-piece) jetted denture solution. This first-to-market offering comprising two uniquely developed materials — NextDent® Jet Denture Teeth and NextDent® Jet Denture Base — as well as 3D Systems' jetting technology, software and services, enables the production of durable, long-wear, aesthetically beautiful dentures. As a result of implementing the Company's FDA-cleared jetted denture solution, dental laboratories can more efficiently deliver dentures, resulting in an enhanced patient experience.

ROCK HILL, S.C., Sept. 09, 2024 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Today, 3D Systems (NYSE:DDD), announced it has achieved a significant milestone in commercializing Oqton Manufacturing OS. This solution is designed to enable on-demand additive manufacturing (AM) in regulated markets by providing full factory-floor workflow integration thus transforming how products are brought to market. Baker Hughes, an energy technology company, is now in full production with Oqton Manufacturing OS in its central manufacturing facilities in Houston, Texas. This marks a significant milestone in the commercial software agreement Baker Hughes entered with Oqton, a wholly owned, independently operated subsidiary of 3D Systems, in March 2023 and reinforces the companies' shared vision to support decentralized manufacturing. The successful implementation of this solution by Baker Hughes demonstrates the Oqton Manufacturing OS' ability to accelerate the design and production of additively manufactured parts across the entire manufacturing workflow to increase efficiency and facilitate regulatory compliance.
ROCK HILL, S.C., Sept. 04, 2024 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Today, 3D Systems (NYSE:DDD), announced QuickCast Air™ - an advanced tool in its investment casting portfolio, designed to maximize material removal from the interior of casting patterns. This enables reduced material consumption, lower pattern costs, faster build times, cleaner burnout processes, and improved draining efficiency. As a result, end-users in industries such as foundries, aerospace & defense, and energy can reliably deliver large, high-precision investment casting patterns at a fraction of the time and cost of traditional tooling and with no limitation on geometric complexity. QuickCast Air is already helping some of the Company's large-volume aerospace customers reduce the material consumption on their patterns by up to 50%. Additionally, customers are seeing a multi-hour reduction in build times.
The 3D printing specialist saw a double-digit fall in quarterly revenue. This was due largely to one client, however.
Stratasys reported declining sales and a big GAAP loss yesterday. Today, its rival in 3D printing, 3D Systems, reported pretty much the same thing.
