The famous American sub sandwich chain, Firehouse Subs®, is set to launch in Australia this year. Retail Food Group (RFG), the biggest multi-brand food franchisor in Australia, aims to make Firehouse Subs the top sandwich option in the country by opening 165 restaurants over the next decade. The first location is expected to open in Southeast Queensland in late 2025.
On Tuesday, Restaurant Brands International announced that it has acquired shares in Burger King China from its local franchisee for around $158 million, bringing it close to full ownership of the company.
