Capri and Tapestry abandon plans to merge, citing regulatory hurdles
The proposed merger that would've combined six luxury brands owned by Capri and Tapestry was abandoned by the companies due to regulatory challenges posed by an FTC lawsuit.
Capri Holdings (CPRI) saw its shares tumble Friday after reporting fiscal second-quarter results after yesterday's closing bell that fell short of Wall Street's expectations.
Capri Holdings (CPRI) came out with quarterly earnings of $0.65 per share, missing the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $0.74 per share. This compares to earnings of $1.13 per share a year ago.
