AES Corporation (NYSE: AES) announced today that it has priced $950 million aggregate principal amount of its 7.600% fixed-to-fixed rate reset junior subordinated green notes due 2055.

AES has agreed to sell its stake in AES Brasil to Auren Energia for around $640 million, with the proceeds being used to support AES' expansion in renewables and US utilities.

AES reported first-quarter revenues of $3.09 billion in 2024, showing a 4.8% decrease compared to the previous year. The revenue was also 4.9% lower than the Zacks Consensus Estimate.

AES reported earnings of $0.50 per share for the quarter, surpassing the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $0.32 per share. This is an improvement from earnings of $0.22 per share in the same quarter last year.
